S3 Brain
Shared, source-backed local memory for Claude Code and Codex on your Mac.
A thought. Its source. The reason it stayed.
01 / The idea
The next session
should remember why.
A new coding session can lose the context of the last. S3 Brain gives Claude Code and Codex one shared memory, with the sources behind proposals, decisions and observed results still attached.
02 / A memory, connected
Follow the thought.
Find the source.
A proposal is not a decision. A reported result is not a fresh test. Explore a small, illustrative archive where those distinctions stay visible.
Use the product’s own brand system on its page.

03 / How it works
From a conversation to context.
-
Transcripts
Read local coding-session transcripts incrementally.
-
Extraction queue
Keep unfinished work in a persistent queue.
-
Typed memory
Validate source references. Distinguish proposals, decisions and observations.
-
Search & context
Find relevant memory through scoped full-text and local semantic search.
-
Correction / forgetting
Revise a record or remove it through explicit controls.
04 / A quiet presence
Memory health. At a glance.
The macOS menu-bar panel shows health and pending work. Opening it does not call a model, read note text or read account keys.

Local memory.
Explicit boundaries.
Storage, search and embeddings stay on your Mac. You have controls for what is remembered, revised and forgotten.
Summaries use cloud processing.
Selected transcript sections and bounded context are processed through your Claude or Codex subscription. S3 Brain is not entirely offline.
Secret-pattern redaction
Known secret patterns are removed from source and output. Pattern matching cannot recognize every secret.
Private sessions & corrections
Private-session controls stop new memory for that session. Corrections preserve revision history; forgetting has an explicit scope. Provider transcripts and historical backups are separate.
Encrypted local backups
Backups use AES-256-GCM with restore verification. Keeping the key and backup on the same Mac does not protect against losing the device.
