2.4.7 is a small release about three moments where S3 got in your way: an app link that wiped the page, a crashed page that just sat there, and a permission you had already given being asked for again.
App links keep the page
Some pages hand off to an app on your Mac, for example while you connect an account. S3 used to block that handoff and replace the whole page with an error. Now the page stays where it is. In the front tab S3 asks, like Safari, whether to open the app; in background tabs it only shows a small notice with an Open button. Pages still can't open apps over and over.
A crashed page comes back
Occasionally a page's process stops on its own. The two crashes we looked at happened inside the system's JavaScript engine while running the page's own code, not in S3. S3 used to show an error and wait. Now the front tab reloads once by itself with a short note. If it crashes again right away, or you have an unsaved form, it keeps the Reload button so nothing is lost. Background tabs reload when you switch to them.
Always means always
If you told S3 that Claude or Codex may work on a site Always, it now remembers that for every page action on that site, after restarts and app updates too. Payments, file uploads and reading stored values are still confirmed every time, and workspaces with separate sign-ins ask on their own.
